The book launch on 18th June was a success with about 25 people attending at the Folk House. Four of whom we discovered had heard about it on Facebook but we don’t know who posted it! You can see in the pictures that I am wearing a mask – this was due to Covid. I’d only tested for it that morning and didn’t want to cancel the event. Author of “Anthony Johnson, Committed for Murder, Martin Williams was first to read and be interviewed by me, followed by my work. As I didn’t feel my voice would hold out, fellow writer Peter Morris read the novel extract and short story I had selected. We were pleased that we had quite a few questions “from the floor” particularly about our writing processes and the nature of the psychiatric system. The audience seemed very engaged and interested. We sold and signed some books to finish up after reading extracts of works in progress. Martin is about to bring out his fourth novel and I am preparing a collection of short stories.
